In September 1944, the red army crosses the Danube. Private Ales together with his agricultural horses follows the victory march. A broken wheel of his cart forces Ales to fall behind and look for help in the nearby village. The "odyssey" of the common cavalry soldier begins. He becomes a friend with the Bulgarian peasants. Before the war, he led the work on strengthening the Brest Fortress and the approaches to Leningrad. In 1940 he was 60 years old. The beginning of the war found him in Belorussia. After one of the battles, seriously wounded, he was taken prisoner to the Mauthausen camp, where he fought against fascism for 1320 days.

Set in the jungle of the Congo Free State in 1887–88, the story begins after explorer Henry Morton Stanley, has gone to relieve Emin Pasha, governor of Equatoria, from a siege by Mahdist forces. He leaves behind him a 'rear column' with supplies at the Yambuya camp on the Aruwimi River and instructs them to wait until the Arab slave trader, Tippu Tib, has brought 600 more porters before following on to Equatoria. The play follows the story of the men left waiting in the camp. The officers depicted in the play are based on historical figures.

A story of a boy, forced to grow mature before his time and to die too early because of the cruel war circumstances. This film is dedicated to all the children who have died during the National Liberation War.

A group of civilians join the Army temporarily as volunteers to combat drug trafficking and border incursions near Burma. On an exercise into the jungle they find a place full of strange figures. They go back to base and discuss their findings with a monk. A Karen woman says the place is haunted. The monk says it isn't and goes back in there with them to prove it but they are captured by the Karen rebels.
